It’s Okay to Just Pass
October 24, 2025We’ve always told our kids to do their best, but more importantly, to enjoy what they’re doing while they’re at it. Grades will come and go, but the joy of learning—that’s something we want them to keep forever.
They aim to be honor students, and we’re proud of that. But every time, we remind them, “It’s okay to just pass. We don’t need medals. We just want you to be happy.” We never want school to feel like a burden.
The truth is, the world is big. There will always be someone better, smarter, or faster. And that’s perfectly fine. Losing or failing doesn’t make you less—it makes you human. It means you tried. It means you cared.
We’ve seen too many heartbreaking stories of young people who felt crushed by pressure and failure. Sometimes one exam, one grade, feels too heavy to carry. We never want our kids to feel that kind of weight.
That’s why we always tell them that life isn’t measured by trophies or certificates. It’s measured by how you treat others, how you bounce back after falling, and how you find happiness even when things don’t go your way.
In our home, passing is already something to celebrate. Because passing means trying. And trying, even when it’s hard, is already a win.
So to our kids—and to every parent out there—may we raise children who chase joy, not perfection.
“Success isn’t about medals, it’s about meaning.”
